1967 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE MOTORCYCLE T120R RESTORED 650
Vehicle Description
Offered for auction is this fine example of a 1967 Triumph Bonneville T120R 650cc. Having recently undergone a complete restoration, this machine has been refurbished to nut and bolt factory specifications with originality and detail being made an upmost priority during the rebuild. Matching Engine/Frame numbers designates this as a later 1967 model which was was finished in Aubergine and Alaskan White with Gold Lining, Paint was supplied by Don Hutchinson and is an exact match of the original Factory color. Tanks, Chainguard, Headlight Brackets were Painted, other Cycle Parts were Powder Coated Gloss Black. Every single part of this Motor Cycle has been addressed, hardware has all been Cad Plated unless specified as Chrome, Engine Covers as well as various other Aluminum Parts have been polished and buffed. After complete disassembly, each part was inspected and replace if deemed necessary, all parts were replaced with New Old Stock item where possible.
Engine was been overhauled from the Sludge Trap on, new Main Bearings, Rod Bearings, Breather Valve Spring, Pistons, Rings, Valves, Guides, Seals, O Rings and Gaskets, Gearbox Mainshaft and Layshaft Bearings, High Gear Bush as well as all other Seals, new Primary and Drive Chains, basically everything that was not excellent was replaced, equipped with the original 389/95 Amal Monobloc Carburetors. Original Dunlop Rims have been Re-Chromed and Laced with Stainless Spokes with Dunlop Tires. New Cloth wrapped Wiring Harness with all standard Electrical Equipment with Points/Coil Ignition (a Boyer Electronic Ignition System will be supplied in desired, it was for originality that Points were used), N.O.S. Lucas Ammeter and Brake Light Switch as well as Ignition Switch and Keys, Smiths Speedometer and Tachometer were overhauled with new Bushings, Glass and Bezels replaces as a matter of course as well as the Cables, New Old Stock Handlebars and Gran Turismo Grips, all new Cables, original Seat has been refurbished with an N.O.S. Seat Strap added. correct Stainless Steel Fenders have been polished. New Fork Tubes as well as Bushings, Seals and Gaiters, Front and Rear Brakes overhauled, new Wheel Bearings. All Rubber has been replaced that include N.O.S. Knee Grips. All together there is an extensive list of all new parts included, too numerous to mention.
Since completion of the restoration the Bike has only had a couple of test miles to insure everything functions as you would expect it to, therefor the Motorcycle will need to be "Run In" and all necessary running in tasks will need to be performed, the engine has already had one torque down and Valve adjustment, the engine is being run in on Detergent Free Motor Oil which will can be switched to conventional 20/50 after a few Hundred miles.
