This bike spent about 20 years as a low budget chopper, before it was brought back from the dead by Collins Cycle in Sutersville, Pa., in 1998. Happily it still had a lot of original parts including frame, wheels, gas tank, engine, and chain guard. At that time it got new fenders, Amal carbs, cables, air cleaners, a paint job (original raspberry red and silver), emblems, grab rail, exhaust pipes, mufflers, fork tubes, fork seal holders, ignition switch, fuel petcocks, and more. There is still some original hardware which is rusty and should be replaced. Comes with a new seat cover, which has to be fitted. Speedo and tach work, but ammeter does not. Mileage on odometer is dubious but might be actual. Horn is weak and should be replaced. The bike runs strong, apparently the engine was rebuilt during the chopper years but I don't know for sure. It starts right up and doesn't smoke. The bike was dumped in 2000, resulting in a dent in the tank over the right side emblem (see photo). It hasn't been ridden much since. I just installed a new battery, new fork gaiters, and a new speedo drive. All numbers match, i.e. frame, engine, and New York title. Comes with a shop manual.

I am reluctantly offering for sale a very nice running pre-strike 1974 T140 with many upgrades, such as Boyer ignition, Tympanium charging module, retro exhaust mufflers and modern tires. I bought this bike back in April of this year to be my daily rider and didn't really have time to get it ready to ride until this past month and now I must come up with some cash for my son's college expenses later this month. I cleaned up the bike, including the carbs, which received new gasket kits, and changed the oil about two weeks ago. I then installed a new seat cover and petrol tank, which has been professionally painted. Other than that, the bike is as it was purchased. This bike comes with $3500 in receipts over the past 7 years from Isles Motorcycle Specialties, in Denver. The engine was rebuilt at 9996 miles and the odometer (which works) now shows 12568. Virtually all of the maintenance since 1999 was done by Isles and the bike starts easily, shifts well, stops reasonably well (may need rear brake pads soon), and accelerates very quickly. I have not had this bike over 70mph, but I am quite certain it will do the ton with little effort. The chainguard is a bit rattly, due to a loose rivet, and there are a couple of minor leaks I believe from the primary cover drain plug and the crankcase drain plug. The top end appears to be oil tight. According to the receipt history, this bike has had a history of a sticking throttle valve on the left hand carb, so helper springs were fitted to the carbs to prevent this while in operation. I noticed the valve does want to stick at the very top of the mixing chamber, which is beyond the travel in normal use. It has not stuck on me and I am not concerned enough to replace the carbs (about $400) to remedy this condition. I have put about 50 miles on this bike and can say that it is reliable and could probably be ridden anywhere with little or no trouble. Please ask questions before bidding. No warranty implied with this sale.

This is a Rare find Barn Fresh 1968 Triumph TR25 W Trophy 250 that is in need of a total going over whether a restoration or just a rebuild for rejuvenation. This is a Matching Number Motor and Frame. This has many correct items that make this a candidate for keeping this and restoring this for posterity. The motor is free and seems to have some good compression. This has the correct rear wheel and sprocket and the front end is stock and the front wheel as well, missing the tank rear fender and front fender. From the mount on the frame I'm guessing this had ustom fibreglass or plastic parts on this bike. The primary cover and timing cover appear to have survived without damage to this point. There is No speedometer odometer so I am unsure of the mileage. This has an original set of exhaust pipes that should clean up with a little effort for a rider. This does have the correct handlebars and throttle as well as the proper footpegs. Many of the items on this are good original and just need a good cleaning making this an excellent example of a daily rider. This bike would be a great starter bike for a vertically challenged individual or a unique restoration. This motorcycle needs to be back out there and ridden. Good Luck bidding. This motorcycle has not been on the road for a loong time, there is a Massachusetts title that will be provided to the buyer. This is offered in the continental U.S. only unless prior approval is requested. High bidder is responsible for all shipping cost and arrangements and $200.00 deposit by Paypal and the remainder by Cash or Bank check which must clear before the bike is moved.
