1973 TR7 Triumph Custom Bobber with lots of extras including: motor & tranny rebuilt from top to bottom, balanced crank, new sludge trap, new bearings, new rods & pistons, new megacycle cams, bike pulls very good. Black diamond valves & new stiffer springs, new mushroom valve adjusters, everything worn was replaced in tranny, new triplex primary chain clutch hub & clutch, ARD magneto (electronic) no points to mess with, can run with or without battery, currently running without, however battery box in place if you want to run battery as well as wired for battery, just installed jag oil cooler & spin on oil filter, new charging system (stator, rotor, regulator), 2'' under wide glide front end, hardtail rear, frame has been beefed up in several locations for strength (very strong), fame powder coated in black & silver hammered finish. Real 52 tank with correct badges, kneepad & parcel rack, hand shift hand clutch, disc front brake & rear conical drum, red powdered coated rims, sheet medal powder coated in textured industrial gun metal grey, Mikuni carb mounted to side draft manifold with K&N chrome filter. This bike wasn’t just thrown together, it was built to ride with torque and dependability in mind. I have built over 20 scooters in the last 10 years and this bike gets more attention then the $35000 V Twins I have built. This was built 50’s bobber style with modern technology. Approximately 1500 miles on bike including trip from Houston to Corpus Christi and back the same day to break in and work out the final bugs. The bike worked flawlessly. Bike has a 21” tooth tranny sprocket so cruising 75 is no problem. Runs and rides great with easy starting. If you’re interested in a one of the kind bobber, this is the real deal. If you want a tourer get a Yamaha. This baby must go as I have 3 other projects in the works. If you have any questions or would like to view the bike call Dawg at 936-443-5283 or email me at Steelponycycles@aol.com.
